What do you wish your mom taught you?

Spread the love

Stop by www.askevelynbrooks.com and join private survey of what lessons your mom taught you about life — and what you WISH she had taught you.

Be sure to include whether it’s okay to use your name – if not, I won’t, to protect your privacy. I don’t want to cause any embarrassment out there if you say something rude about dear old mum.

Seriously, we’ve all formed an opinion of our mothers by now, and I know that many people have stressful relationships with mom that make celebrating Mother’s Day (this coming Sunday May 8th) a difficult thing.

So why not tell a trusted friend (that’s me) what’s on your mind and what you wish your mom had taught you about handling life’s ups and downs, about relationships or just anything at all.

And then I can start the discussion here.

to your happiness,

Evelyn Brooks

  1. I wish my mom would have taught me to dream big and to go after my dreams. Most people including myself, have thought in the past that dreams are for other people. Any one of us can make our dreams come true if we put the effort into it. One of my favorite sayings that I recently heard is “God is a big God so why not ask for big things?” I just love that.

  3. That’s a wonderful saying, Cathy – I haven’t heard that one before. Thanks so much for sharing. I agree, we are often taught to only go after the dreams or goals we are pretty darned sure we can do. Instead, we need to dream big and push ourselves to grow!
