Weekly Be-Happier Tip

Spread the love

A big part of stress management is remembering to build QUIET TIME into your daily schedule. This weekend, avoid being so busy and scattered, trying to cram a lot into 2 days, that you can’t even hear yourself think.

Both the beginning of the day and the end of the day are excellent times to get in touch with your inner self. Let go of the stress and tension, and simply breathe in, enjoying the fact that you are alive on this planet, with all the bounty it offers.

Keep your thoughts positive as you go about your chores, errands and get-togethers with friends. If you catch yourself talking about problems and worries, quickly change the subject. Remember that what you focus on will increase in your life. So be sure to put the bulk of your attention on remaining optimistic and cheerful.

your happiness guru,

Evelyn

  1. I agree that is it way too easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life if you aren’t paying attention. I usually shower in the morning when I am trying to rush out the door. This evening, I had a strong urge to take a long, luxurious shower, complete with the delicious smelling scrub that I usually reserve for special occasions. On other nights, I might have dismissed taking time for myself. But tonight, I am giving myself a pat on the back for slowing down and treating myself to something so simple. It was glorious! 🙂

The key seems to be deliberate and pay attention to your life and our thoughts.

    Thanks for keeping us happy!
