Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
I bet that no matter what kind of relationship you had with your own dad, there are some things he taught you that you are still doing — hopefully these are good things!
But of course we also learn from example what NOT to do in life and in our relationships.

One of mine, is when I was a kid in Texas, I helped him paint our house one day (I hope I was a help, not a hindrance at the age of eight!) And while we were working side by side, he taught me how to whistle! I still love to whistle now and then, and each time I do, I’m taken back in time to a sunny day in Fort Worth when my dad took time from his busy life to patiently teach me how to whistle a tune.
I never did learn how to whistle by putting two fingers to my lips like some kids at school did. But I’m happy with what I’ve got!
