So many times, we are advised to make a list of all our bad habits, as if facing the nasty truth will be a magical catharsis to rid us of our self-sabotage.
But I think it’s important to look at all the things you do right!
Pay attention to habits that are getting good results, and you will reinforce them.
When you feel better about yourself, you tend to shrug off stressful events more easily and take life’s challenges in stride.
An important step in the right direction of being happy and stress-free all the time is to “know yourself.” I think that too often, we are ready to beat ourselves up for our mistakes, or make a long list of all the things our partner is doing wrong (and if only they’d stop doing all that, we just know we’d be happy).
