Weekend Be-Happier Tip #17 Good habits

This weekend, write about your BEST habit.

So many times, we are advised to make a list of all our bad habits, as if facing the nasty truth will be a magical catharsis to rid us of our self-sabotage.

But I think it’s important to look at all the things you do right!

Pay attention to habits that are getting good results, and you will reinforce them.

When you feel better about yourself, you tend to shrug off stressful events more easily and take life’s challenges in stride.

An important step in the right direction of being happy and stress-free all the time is to “know yourself.”  I think that too often, we are ready to beat ourselves up for our mistakes, or make a long list of all the things our partner is doing wrong (and if only they’d stop doing all that, we just know we’d be happy).

Another step is to zap all that stress, and I urge you to stop by my bookstore (see the tab above) and check out my new Stress Zapper Package that will launch you into your new mode of being happy all the time.

your happiness guru,

Evelyn Brooks

What a great idea. This is a good way for us to practice marketing too. Not only can you write about your best habit but how you put that into your life's work -whether that is business or just your personal life. Then take it a step further and write again the next day perhaps.

Accentuating positive habits is so crucial and vastly more effective than spending time on less than stellar habits. I love that you incorporate the writing process as part of the habit-shift! That's part of my message also.
