Learn to be unsinkable

Life has inevitable ups and downs. And those changes challenge us to be who we really are.  The great thing, I believe, is that we actually get to choose the kind of person we want to be!  We have so much power in our own lives, and most of the time we don’t even see it, because we’ve been taught or conditioned since early childhood to view externals when deciding if something or someone is a success or a failure.

Decide right now that life’s storms will NOT pull you under and drown your spirit. Decide today that

you are going to learn as much as you can about how to achieve your goals, while developing your gratitude for all the blessings that come your way.

When you become “unsinkable” it means:

  • in the face of huge challenges or strife, you know “this too shall pass” and thus you avoid a state of despair
  • you bounce back from disappointments and seeming failure, and keep trying, knowing that there is no failure as long as you meet life head-on and continue growing
  • you know how to help others stay afloat, with a kind word, a supportive comment, a smile or a quietly done good deed

How do you remain unsinkable, or is this a new concept for you to learn and put into effect in your life?

your happiness guru,

Evelyn

Hi Evelyn,

I like your term 'unsinkable', it's more visual than 'staying positive' or don't be defeated'.
best wishes
