“We are responsible for our own happiness.” ~ Gerald Jampolsky, from “Forgiveness: The Greatest Healer of All” — click the book cover to buy at Amazon.com–
If you are stressed out because you can’t seem to forgive someone for something they did or said to you — even if it happened long ago in your past– you are carrying around a burden that is going to shorten your life. Seriously. If you have never read this book by Dr. Jampolsky, I highly recommend it (and I recommend it even if you have read it already – pick it up and read it again).
Stress has so many causes but they all boil down to one main thing: the thoughts you keep alive in your mind day after day.
Let go of the past and forgive your parents and kids and siblings for not being perfect, your friends for making mistakes, your relationships for not always being in harmony.
It is truly only when you learn to forgive yourself and others, that you can achieve peace of mind in your life.
Who are you going to put on your list to forgive?
to your happiness,
