Be-Happier Tip: Calm Down

Share

Feeling busy? Overwhelmed? That’s where mental stress comes from. When you have the feeling that there is just too much to do and you can’t do it all, you begin feeling anxious and worried, or even upset and depressed.  A good solution is to take time to calm down. You don’t really have to slow down, even though the song in the video says that. I believe it’s the same basic idea: stop trying to “do” so many tasks, calm yourself and notice what is most important to you. Become more efficient in everyday tasks so that you have plenty of time to enjoy being a goal-achiever with your big dreams!

Do you want to be a “Millionaire Messenger”?

If you are wondering how you can profit from what is being called the New Economy when you aren’t already established as an author, coach or other expert, my friend Brendon Burchard reveals all the steps you need to take, in his new bestselling book…
The Millionaire Messenger: Make a Difference and a Fortune Sharing Your Advice

I’ve read the book, and give it an enthusiastic TWO THUMBS UP.
I sure wish I’d seen this book when I started out — but it just came out this month!  Better late than never, as my fourth grade teacher, Sister Mary Joseph, used to tell us. I plan to put into effect Brendon’s advice and start doing things the “Millionaire Messenger” way.

If you want to see a difference in your own life, check out what people are saying about Brendon’s book — read the rave reviews (I gave it 5 stars!) at:

Feeling a sense of accomplishment – my new novel

Share

Too often, we get so busy with our humongous lists of things to do, that we fail to pause (let alone stop) and recognize our accomplishments. Aside from missing out on the fun of doing just that, we also can cheat ourselves out of a sense of satisfaction with our lives.

Part of managing your stress level is to find balance in your life. To pace yourself. To have silly fun times as well as the more serious focused times. So whether your most recent accomplishment is a new book, a video for your blog, a chocolate cake made from scratch (what the heck, celebrate even if you used a boxed mix)… learn to pat yourself on the back.

If you’re active in any of the social media like Facebook and Twitter, go ahead and post a quick blurb about what you’ve done. It really feels good to be part of the human race, instead of plodding along working like a drone and not even letting others know what is going on in your life.

So, ahem, I’d like to announce my supernatural mystery novel, called “The Calico Tapestry” — it’s now available in paperback at amazon.com and you can buy it by clicking now: The Calico Tapestry
