Be-Happier Tip: Take time to play!

Here we are at the start of the summer in USA — it’s Memorial Day weekend, traditionally the 3-day weekend that kicks off summertime vacations and trips and fun.

But what are you going to do? Catch up on chores? Do some projects on your computer that you’ve been meaning to get around to? Show up physically at a neighborhood BBQ with your family and friends, while your mind is busy spinning with all the things you “should” be doing?

A big part of stress management is learning how to find balance in your life. There’s a season for everything, and there’s a time to relax and have a good time.

Have FUN this weekend and really let yourself be in the moment — be present for your loved ones instead of emotionally detached. Try it and let me know how you like it.

to your happiness and success,

Evelyn Brooks

I had planned catch up projects at home in Montana. Because I missed my flight out of New York City, I called a friend and asked if I could stay with him in Vermont. Now we're on a random road trip from Vermont to Montreal. The car broke down in Burlington which was a good thing because I got to meet my friend's cool friends. Life is unfolding in cool ways on this adventure. Off to Montrel today!
