Be-Happier Tip: Challenge Yourself!

  If you’re stressed, you probably feel there is already way too  much going on in your life, and the idea of challenging yourself in any form might sound like as much fun as playing Russian roulette.

However, if you want things to change in your life — and you do, don’t you? — you have to start doing something different from the way you are doing it now.  That sounds so obvious, but most of us are so set in our ways that when we think of getting different results we often just “try harder” doing the same old thing!

Here are just a few areas in your life where challenging yourself to do something different can help:

  • in your health — if you are dieting or starting an exercise program, push yourself to mix up your routine and keep things interesting
  • at work — look for new ways to do your tasks, so that you keep your mental stimulation factor engaged … and a plus can be finding new ways that are time saving, more effective and more productive
