What is it about your life that isn’t working?

  • stressed all the time
  • overworked
  • overwhelmed
  • tired
  • short-tempered with family and friends
  • a feeling that life is passing too quickly
  • neglected dreams & goals
  • no time for things you enjoy
  • a vague desire to change something but no energy to pursue the idea further

These are all signs of being so totally stressed out that you are a zombie going through life, just getting by, working hard and not achieving the things that would make you feel fulfilled and satisfied.

If you want to know the simple techniques to change all this, you’ll find the answers in my new book “Get Happy Today: Your Path to Lifelong Happiness” — get it at amazon or have instant access to the ebook by clicking HERE

Feeling stressed out?

Share

Wishing your life would change will do absolutely nothing for your stress. The only thing that really works is to understand how to manage your feelings of being overwhelmed, and do something about it.

Here are the quick things to remember:

  • Breathe! When you’re stressed and anxious, your breathing usually gets rapid and shallow, which makes your symptoms even worse.  Do conscious breathing where you breathe in slowly and deeply, and exhale slowly.
  • Become aware of how you are reacting to life. Learn to stop, consider your options and then respond to events rather than letting your hot buttons be pushed all the time.
  • Meditate. Each day, spend at least 5 minutes in the morning and again in the evening on being quiet. Still your mind. Use guided imagery CDs if you have a hard time getting those thoughts under control. Relax fully. You will feel more energized.
  • Learn how to manage your stress in “Forget Your Troubles: Enjoy Your Life Today” – get instant access to the ebook HERE

If you haven’t read it, why not? It will make a huge difference in your life for a very small cost – you spend more at Starbucks to get a caffeine jolt that only lasts a few hours. Invest in yourself and the rewards will last for the rest of your life.

10 reasons to love spam at your blog

Share

I periodically check the spam contents at my blogs to be sure that legitimate comments didn’t inadvertently land there.  Looking at the spam never fails to get me thinking, and so here are the 10 reasons why you should love getting spam comments at your own blog:

  1. It shows that Google knows your blog is live
  2. You get a good laugh at the inappropriate comments, strange grammar and odd greetings (I’ll share some of those tomorrow)
  3. It relieves stress to read over some comments and see that you are not the only one who is sometimes a bit desperate to get a trackback
  4. It makes you feel grateful you are not the one who paid a virtual assistant in another country to post comments on your behalf
  5. You get a good lesson in how NOT to leave comments at blogs and other sites
  6. You can appreciate the nuances of the English language that native speakers take for granted, and ESL people often miss completely in their effort to sound like your new best friend
  7. You feel that at least you did get 59 comments that week, even if all were blatantly self-promoting — hey, writing is a lonely business and even bad company can feel better than nothin’
  8. You are reminded that it’s been a while since you left a good comment at someone else’s blog so you quickly go visit blogs of 3 friends and leave them a nice message – turn the lemon of spam comments into lemonade for people you do like and admire!
  9. You can analyze if certain posts get more spam comments than others, and see what keywords you used – the info may help you craft even better blog posts to broaden your audience reach
  10. You realize that you have arrived as a resident of the world wide web and that search engines will continue to send visitors your way as long as you keep pumping out the content and making it keyword rich

Instead of feeling stressed by all the spam comments, look on the bright side and realize it’s just part of doing business online and being a BLOGGER!!!
